Step 1: Check to make sure the pilot light is lit. Some may be re-lit with ease, others need a professional to fix.

Step 1: Check that the fuse in the meter box isn't turned off
Step 2: Make sure the water tap on the actual hot water heater is turned on

Step 1: Is your water heater gas or electric?
Step 2: Be sure you turned on the utilities for gas or electric

Step 1: Contact your electric company to check for any power outages.
Step 2: Check your fuse box, the safety switch may have been activated and needs to be reset.
Step 3: The issue may be a faulty appliance. Unplug all appliances and reset the safety switch in the meter box. Plug each appliance in, one by one, and check the safety switch. If it clicks off, then the appliance is the issue.

Step 1: Check your fuse box, the safety switch may have been activated and needs to be reset.

Step 1: Dryers will automatically shut down if there is too much lint in the filter. Check your filter and clean first.
WASHING MACHINE NOT WORKING
WASHING MACHINE NOT WORKING Step 1: Check that it's plugged in
Step 2: Make sure the washing machine water taps are turned on (on the wall)
Step 3: Check that the lid is closed properly.
Step 4: If the appliance is overfilled, it will be thrown off balance. Take some items out then start again.
A SINK IS BLOCKED
A SINK IS BLOCKED
Step 1: Use boiling water and poor down sink.
Step 2: Use baking soda and vinegar to loosen up food/dirt/hair.
Step 3: Put a bucket under the pipe bend and unscrew to release water and any blockage inside pipes. Screw back together then pour boiling water down again to clear.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL NOT WORKING

Step 1: Check that it is turned on with the switch under the sink.
Step 2: Reset safety switch which is located underneath sink at the bottom of the garbage disposal unit. It's usually a little red or black button. Push it to reset the unit.
